I came across a young man today
His brows creased like he had a sour sweet in his mouth
A yellow map on his armpit showing all the places he had been to
You could tell by his dusty old shoes this man was going through a lot.
I met an angry man today
I could describe his anger as unintentional
The type you can’t explain
Like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed
An anger etched into the soul
That slowly creeps onto the skin
You can’t tell why you’re angry
You just know that you’re angry.
